B+A+T+H: SERIES III NO. 3 - HUSTLER: DJ SHEROXX

1. First, I want to welcome you to the B+A+T+H Family! How is everything?
- Thank you for having me. Everything is wonderful.
2. When did your hustle begin?

- Actually, my hustle began back in 2006, when I started my construction company Just N Tyme Construction with my husband Erick White. From there, I haven't stopped. I started hosting Old School Thursday at They Say Restaurant around 2008, wow, it's been that long. I've done some of everything. I've been in a band, I've done tile work with my husband, I've been in a play, but my most recent and most enjoyed hustle is Djing. I've always been a lover of music from very early. So, what better way to listen to music all the time, and also see others share in your enjoyment, than Djing. My husband gave me my first mixer Christmas 2016. I got my first gig like October 2017, at They Say, every first and third Friday, and It was on from there.
3. What inspired your hustle?
- Music in general. When people say Music is the universal language, that's real. I have several DJ friends, and to see them basically control peoples emotions and actions, including mine was inspiring. I wanted to see those facial expressions and beads of sweat because of my music choices. Don't throw on Tear The Club Up, you know what's about to happen. LOL!
4. What motivates your hustle?

- The interests in my personal music choices is very motivating. When people get it, or feel what I feel about a song, it's awesome. You know what I mean. I've had people praise my dj set and I've had people say that I suck. So, getting in my head that I can't please everyone all the time, helps motivate me to keep doing what I enjoy. It's a lot of fun, when I don't take it so serious, and just have fun. The biggest thing is to always have fun, no matter what.

6. What do you enjoy most about your hustle?

- I most enjoy the positive feed back from the crowd. Heads bobbing, shoulders moving, fingers snapping, and toes tapping. You like that lil rhyme. Bars. Lol. Oh I rap too, just kidding. Nothing feels better than playing a song, and hearing someone say "Heeey, that's my jam", as a Dj, for me, that's the ultimate geek up, LOL. I can hear that over everything. It can be a hundred people in the room, and one person says "Heeeyyy, that's my jam", I can hear that clear as day. So, I really enjoy seeing others have a good time. I love It.
