HH: SERIES IV - NO. 6 CRIMSON ALCHEMIST

1. First, I want to welcome you to the B+A+T+H Family! How is everything?
Hey and thank you so much it’s an honor! Everything’s been going pretty good! I’ve been in the studio working on new music, putting out weekly content now that I know how to work TikTok a little bit lol, this past weekend I had a virtual performance featured in a UK based festival called Queer-A-Thon, which is filled with artists and creatives that are allies and part of the LGBTQ+ community, and lastly I got one of my new songs to play on HOT 107.5 for the first time! Needless to say, I’ve been staying busy lol!
2. When did your hustle begin?
It began when I was as young as eight, which is crazy when you think about it. Growing up my dad would let the kids on our block come over and let them have cyphers outside. I’d never join in because of how young I was, but it made me wanna write my own songs and rehearse them as if I would prepare for a performance lol. Who would’ve thought a music career would stem from those few occurrences?
3. What inspired your hustle?
Definitely my dad he for sure inspired my hustle. When he was younger he was a rapper/DJ but ended up slowing down after he had my older sister and I. He made sure we listened to some of the greats such as Common, EPMD, The Pharcyde, Wu-Tang Clan, 2Pac, Jay-Z and more at a young age (Parents didn’t believe in listening to the clean versions back then so if the profanity got too bad he would turn something else on lol.) He doesn’t make music anymore, so in a way he gets to live vicariously through me since I decided to pick up the torch.

4. What motivates your hustle?
My peers especially from the city motivate my hustle! There’s so many talented creatives here in Detroit doing big things it’s crazy! I’ve never understood jealousy it’s such a weird trait, so whenever I see someone doing their thing on a bigger scale I instantly get inspired and it makes me wanna get better at my craft. I’m never too prideful to ask for advice and help, so if the opportunity presents itself I’m ask that person what they did or who do they know that can help me get to the next level as well.
5. What is the best way to contact you if anyone is interested your service?
The best way to reach me for inquiries whether it be for collabs/beat submissions/booking/interviews is to either hit my email and my manager’s email tcalchemistmusic@gmail.com itsmarkcooper@gmail.com, or they can shoot me a quick DM on my Instagram @TCAlchemist_I enjoy the creative process and networking. I’m a super introvert and very shy at times, but when I have conversations with like-minded people the shyness goes away pretty quick!
6. What do you enjoy most about your hustle?
Making songs has always been fun for me, whether it’s the brainstorming part, or the recording process. I also like to show my versatility in my music. Some songs will be about anime, bar heavy lyrics with no hook, conscious tracks talking about what’s going on in the world, or even love songs. I like to make music that makes people aware, but I also like to make songs where people have fun and enjoy listening to it.
